Thanks for the heads up! Also wanted to be in before the “Lame, this requires Kinect to get” comments!

    • Justin

Interestingly, no one has said a word about the Kinect aspect.

How about “Lame, this is only in the US”? Can I do that one still?

  • Carl Sagen

Is this why everyone got this as a reward for the Cheevie Challenge this past weekend? You guys might as well start handing out codes for Aegis Wing and Doritos Crash Course.

i hope this isnt going to be a new trend were the rewards are games that are going to be free anyways in a couple day<<<<< me being unreasonable lol

That is ridiculous to assume. It’s a week long promotion to support the new dashboard page and sway Kinect purchases. As if the bundle doesn’t include enough free games as it is.

maybe i was being unreasonable a bit but this was the first week i ever won and i have a right to be a bit upset as i said before and i do still appreciate but when you purchase games to do these contests then you get smacked like this. you can assume some people will be upset.but i do have a right to express my dissatisfaction like anyone else but it does seem a little crappy. but if your going to do a contest the idea is to make someone feel like they won something not like there just getting what was going to be free to everyone else anyways.

Cool! I’ll check it later today!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Raymond-Hein/100000529452384 Raymond Hein

yeah i got a haunt as a cheevo reward and i kinda feel ripped off it wasnt that easy and i had to buy a few games not that i dont appreciate it but it seems kinda crappy

At the end of the day you got a free game. Why do you care that other people got it for free too? Sound selfish and a silly thing to argue. Instead of spending your time being unhappy of the fortune of others, ENJOY your free game.

      • This sucks

I don’t think you understand the word “free,” nor did you understand Raymond’s post. He clearly stated that he purchased games in order to participate in the contest – ergo the reward was decidedly not free – so why should he be happy that his reward for doing so is a game that everyone got for free anyway? Buying three games and investing the time to complete them is not “free,” booting your Xbox and hitting “download game” is. There is a clear difference here. You’re obviously the one being selfish here.

Well darn it. I literally just redeemed the code for this from the Weekend Cheevo Challenge yesterday. Still I’m interested in the game though.

    • Justin

Didn’t everyone just get the codes yesterday?

  • Screw PlayXBLA

What the hell is this? Honestly now. This site just went down the drain. Giving out free games as prizes? There isn’t enough head-shaking in the history of humanity for this kind of devious bait-and-switching. For shame, PlayXBLA.

    • Reb

At least you did not get a Hybrid beta code. That would be mean.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Raymond-Hein/100000529452384 Raymond Hein

        ouch that would suck lol

    • Roku750

At least you got codes. My entry seems to have been lost.

    This is cool news.

  • XBLA_Alex

Hey everyone :) Just in case you missed our tweet earlier I’m posting the update on the comments as well :) The Haunt promotion wasn’t on our radar when we sent out the prize codes yesterday so it was not meant to rip anyone off. The tweet posted earlier let everyone who won this past Cheeve Challenge to shoot us an email so we could award them with a new code :) Hope this clears up this whole misunderstanding and thanks for your patience :)

i didnt think you guys were intentionly ripping us off or anything it just upset me a little thks alex and hopefully i havent upset any of the xbla team about this

Great game, with an interesting twist at the end ;)

  • http://twitter.com/Navarin Buster Wolf

So now you’ve come into a bunch of spare Haunt codes back, how about showing those of us outside the US some hot PlayXBLA lovin’?

You could perhaps put them up for grabs in a non-US competition and get rid of that surplus. Just a thought.
