Worst. Interview. Ever. (blooper!)

This story is for exper level fans of PlayXBLA only. If you just want to read about games, we’ll have some super content for your tomorrow. Click READ MORE if you dare…

Ok, cool, you came. Anyway, we had a rad time back at Minecon in December, meeting fans and seeing what they thought of the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of Minecraft, kicking it with the Mojang Team and generally doing Minecrafty stuff. One of the coolest things at the show was the “indie alley” that Mojang sponsored, with lots of different indie devs showing off their wares, including our pals Adam and Bryan from Muteki Corp, who were there with their rad 8-bit style JRPG, Dragon Fantasy. The story behind Dragon Fantasy is pretty cool, so we figured we’d interview Adam about it. Since he and XBLA Chris are pals, we figured we’d do his interview first, and then talk to other devs at the show, Mojang folks, etc.

Sadly, what can only be described as a ”cascading series of failures” with our loaner A/V equipment led to us using a cheap wired mic from Fry’s, a narrow angle lens (= camera needs to be way farther away then you’d think). The results, well… check it out for yourself…

Sadly, that second pedestrian wrecked the audio input for the ancient camera, so that was basically the start and finish of our video endeavors for the show! Sorry to Adam and to you guys for not being able to offer more video, but on the occasion on the arrival of our sweet, new, high-quality, professional video camera (and the eve of a lot more video coming to PlayXBLA) we thought we would share what we hope will be PlayXBLA.com’s worst interview ever.
