Well, at least you don’t have to own Hybrid. Shame you’re still going with that sweepstakes thing though. Overjustification Effect etc. etc.

  • KamikazeZumbie

I would have had this already if you would have put Tony Hawk HD up there as well, dangit :/

    • Anonymous

THPS HD is owned by Activision so it’s not going to be on the cheeve challenge since it’s only MS studios games that are used

      • Anonymous

I’m pretty sure it’s Robomodo that owns the HD remake now. I might be wrong. Either way this sucks because I don’t own a Kinect and have no interest in Hybrid. Wish they would have picked 6 from Deadlight and Dust : /

  • trent82

I’ve never done this before. So can you just get any 12 achievements spread across any combination of those 4 games and be eligible?

    • http://twitter.com/toythatkills mAtt

      Yep

    • Rapidshot

      For this weekend’s challenge yes.

    • http://twitter.com/Double_O_Slevin Seth Ward

This time, yes. The past few weekends you would’ve needed 12 total achievement, with at least one from each game listed. But this week you just need 12 total.

      • trent82

        Nice, I just bought Deadlight.

  • Anonymous

Soooooo tempted to pick up Hybrid.

  • chris

    why all the new games?

    • Anonymous

      End of Summer of Arcade.

  • http://twitter.com/koldsned Daniel Sneddon

All done already. Email sent and fingers crossed.

  • https://twitter.com/downsouthtigger Fred

So we dont have to have all 4 games this week? Well huh, I do own all 4 & I think Im done with the challenge. Im too lazy to send an e-mail right now, I’ll do it later :P

  • http://twitter.com/Double_O_Slevin Seth Ward

I have three of the games, just need to start playing Wreckateer. Too bad I had no interest in Hybrid, otherwise I’d probably be done. Time to get to work!

  • Anonymous

I have two of the games listed. I do want to get Hybrid one of these days though. Good luck to those that enter.

  • chris

i am out. dont want hybrid, have no kinect for wreckateer and therefore dont have that and dont have dust which i do want to get.
its good that you dont need all the games though but they still have the sweepstakes thing going

  • http://www.facebook.com/Chumush Jason Allan

Finally after months of not having the right games 1 I can participate in, wicked :)
Still not keen on the sweepstakes but you can’t have you’re cake and eat it!

  • Anonymous

I am in love with Hybrid now!

  • Anonymous

    Submitted and fingers crossed.

  • http://twitter.com/Double_O_Slevin Seth Ward

Email sent. Good luck to everyone who enters.

  • http://twitter.com/AntaraelDulacre Antarael Dulacre

Need Dust to complete this ….ugh v.v”

    • Anonymous

Dust is a great game :). Voice acting can get a little annoying but the animation is gorgeous!

  • Adrian Bolstridge

Yay for this being a step in the right direction. I hope that in future cheeve challenges they keep it that you don’t need to own all the games, at least for ones involving Kinect titles.

Best of luck to those who enter.

  • Zach Peebles

ahh, just got the last one I needed for Dust and entered. Good luck to everyone!

  • Anonymous

Can someone explain to me what they mean by “submitting your gamertag link via the Xbox.com website to PlayXBLA@microsoft.com“? Would that mean I just email them a link like this with my gamertag filled in where it’s blank: http://live.xbox.com/en-CA/Profile?gamertag=____________ ? Sorry if this is a stupid question I’ve just never entered these before.

    • http://twitter.com/presidente_vil Andrés Salgado

Yes, you need to do that

      • Anonymous

        Gracias!!

        • Anonymous

My guess is that they will pick the 5 random winners and then use the link to verify cheevos. Makes it easier than trying to interpret everyone’s screenshots.

  • http://twitter.com/jot121 jot

so I am new at this site and I don’t know anything about these achievement challenge. can anybody explain to me how I can enter the contest.

    • Zach Peebles

Well, they keep switching it up, this week you need 12 achievements total out of any of the 4 games, so you can get all 4 achievements listed in 3 of the games or a mix of all of them. I entered by having all the achievements listed for Dust, Hybrid, and Deadlight. Then when you have 12 you just send your gamertag link from xbox.com to the email provided.

Edit: Just to be clear you have to get the achievements they listed above, it can’t just be any of the achievements from the games

      • http://twitter.com/jot121 jot

        thanks that helped a lot!!!

      • trent82

Are you sure about that last part in your edit? Someone else said you could get any achievements from those games. The way you explained it in your edit, you would still need to own a minimum of 3 of those games to even have a chance.

        • Zach Peebles

You have to have the achievements they listed, I meant that you can’t get other achievements from the games, they have to be achievements out of the 4 listed.

And yes you would have to own at least 3 of those games otherwise you wouldn’t be able to have 12 achievements, if you only owned 2 or less you would only be able to get 8 achievements.

          • trent82

Well, if that’s the case, they could avoid this confusion by simply stating that you need to unlock any 12 of the following 16 listed achievements. I was going to play through Deadlight tonight to get 12 achievements, but I guess that won’t count.

          • Zach Peebles

I don’t understand, why do you think they would list those specific achievements? Just to show examples? You can’t just play one of those games and get 12 achievements all from one game…

          • trent82

This is the first time I’ve considered doing one of these and wasn’t clear on the rules and there was some talk as if this time the rules were different than before. They posted that the number of titles played didn’t matter, just the total number of achievements, but if what you’re saying is true, then the number of titles does matter because you need at least 3. Clearly, I wasn’t the only person confused by the rules. Below I asked if you could get any 12 achievements from any of those games and 3 people quickly responded saying yes.

          • Zach Peebles

lol, they were right, you can get any 12 out of the 16 listed, people were confused because the past few you had to have at least one out of every game listed, this week you don’t, but you’ve always had to get your total out of the possible achievements listed

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=593268477 Derek Fors

Had Wreckateer, and this pushed me over on picking up Deadlight and Dust.

  • MeatZilla1

I’m still having trouble figuring out how to submit the achievements Any help would be appreciated.

  • MeatZilla1

Can someone give me directions on how to submit the achievements ?

  • Turtle

Have the winners been selected? I really dont see why they dont just post the 5 winners so people who dont receive any messages dont just sit around and wonder. Well maybe they havent gotten around to drawing the contest yet.

    • http://twitter.com/wicket2961 Chris

Do you seriously sit around waiting to see if you’ve won? lol

      • Anonymous

Why wouldn’t we be checking to see if we won. I’m pretty sure everyone who enters the challenge wants to win free games.

    • http://twitter.com/Double_O_Slevin Seth Ward

I can only assume that they have already selected the winners. If that’s the case then I still haven’t won the WAC.

    • MrSandman

Yeah I got my mail about 5 hours ago ;)

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=593268477 Derek Fors

I won. big thanks to Vulcan and the MSG/PlayXBLA team
