Happy Wars In-Game Status Ailments, Oh My!

In Happy Wars you’ll not only be teaming up to take out your enemy’s tower and defenses, you’ll be using a lot of fire power, spells, and magic to make it happen. Sounds easy right? Not quite. In this case, for every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction waiting around the corner. Status Ailments

  • Characters may go in a various state based on the effect from the action given.

Recoiled state

  • A character in this state recoils backward as a result of undergoing a relevant action.
  • The character becomes immobile for a certain period of time.

 Staggered state

  • A character undergoing a relevant action enters a retreating state.
  • The character becomes immobile for a certain period of time.
  • While being forcibly traveled, the distance of traveling can be mitigated by pressing down the stick to the opposite to the traveling direction.

Smashed state

  • A character may be knocked into the air as a result of receiving a relevant action.
  • The character becomes immobile until (s)helands on the ground
  • The distance to be blasted off is differentiated depending on the action received.

Knock-out state

  • A character may become immobile for a few seconds as a result of receiving a relevant action (e.g. “Stone-Throwing”)
  • The duration of the immobile state can be mitigated by pressing the corresponding button repeatedly.
  • The state can be cancelled when the character gets damaged.
    • When a character is in this state, teammates can attack the character to cancel the immobile state.
    • When a character is in a knocked-out state, it becomes extremely vulnerable to physical attacks.

Stunned state

  • A character may become immobile for a few seconds as a result of receiving a relevant action (e.g. “Roar”)
  • The character’s speed becomes lower.
  • The duration of the immobile state can be mitigated by pressing the corresponding button repeatedly.
  • The state can be cancelled when the character gets damaged.
    • When a character is in this state, teammates can attack the character to cancel the immobile state.
    • Hitting a stunned character with the Smashskill will cause the victim to fly further away.

Ablaze state

  • The action that generated the Ablaze effect deals extra damage. (Example: Mage skill “Fire Shot”)

Electrified state

  • A character may be electrified as a result of receiving a relevant action (e.g. “Thunder Bolt”), and the condition lasts for a few seconds
  • The character is caught by the thunder effect, and his/her motion slows down for a certain period of time.
  • Only the “Dispel” skill can cancel the state.

Snowman state

  • A character may become immobile for a few seconds as a result of receiving a relevant action (e.g. “Ice Shot”).
  • The character is caught by the snowman effect, and becomes immobile for a certain period of time.
  • The duration of the immobile state can be mitigated by pressing the corresponding button repeatedly.
  • The state can be cancelled if the character gets damaged.
    • When a character is in a Snowman state, itwill become extremely vulnerable to physical attacks.

Death state

  • A character can go into the death state if his/her HP becomes 0 or (s)he falls from a certain height.
  • The character cannot sortie for a certain period of time after death (penalty for death).
