Nexon Releases First Update for ‘Dungeon Fighter LIVE: Fall of Hendon Myre’ on Xbox LIVE Arcade

LOS ANGELES – Nexon Co., Ltd., (3659.TO) (“Nexon”), a worldwide leader in free-to-play online games, today announced that the first update for its first Xbox LIVE Arcade title, “Dungeon Fighter LIVE: Fall of Hendon Myre” is now available.

“Dungeon Fighter LIVE: Fall of Hendon Myre,” developed by Neople and Softmax, and published by Microsoft Studios, is an Xbox LIVE Arcade title with remarkable content and outstanding game features based off of Nexon’s global smash hit PC game, “Dungeon&Fighter.” “Dungeon Fighter LIVE: Fall of Hendon Myre,” which launched in July 2012, is currently available in eight different languages in the Xbox Marketplace.

The distinctive features of the content update to “Dungeon Fighter LIVE: Fall of Hendon Myre” include additional difficulties for the final dungeon that enhance the playing experience, and improved game functions that allow the camera view point to focus on the player’s character during online multi-play.

The three new difficulties – Expert, Master, and King’s Road – have been added to the Floating Gardens dungeon, the most challenging dungeon in the game available to only the highest level players. These difficulties further test players’ abilities and skills and amplify the challenges they face during gameplay, while faster attack speeds improve performance during battles.

The camera viewpoint has also been changed to a user-centered angle, allowing users to move freely and shift their character’s position without affecting other party members during online multi-play. Players who move off the screen will be directed back to the action by an arrow indicating the location of the player. In addition, the control functions and stability have been improved to provide players with additional choices, such as pressing “X” while moving or during an attack to initiate the attack skill before the function to pick an item up is activated.

I bought it when it was on sale and I must admit that I liked a lot more than I expected despite their flaws and lack of charisma, I finished the game 2 times and suffered in the floating gardens with friends like 10 times and If that was difficult I don’t want imagine in king Road difficulty.

Although they had to be at least 4 different characters and the idea of buying life stones (continues) with real money (MSP) despite evoke feelings of my time in the Arcades didn’t like much.

Personally I enjoy the 42 hours that I played and is a recommended game if you like the Beat ‘em up with RPG elements especially if you play with friends either locally or online because the idea of four friends fighting in dungeons, getting loot and sharing weapons and equip remains fun despite the lack personality in characters, story and enemies (all this is very important to me).

Also the next week Guardian Heroes will be part of DotW (400 MSP) I can not do more than recommend this awesome game (even at full price) if you like Beat ‘em ups and co-op games.

Also glad to hear about the improved camera (in offline is understandable but not online) as well as improving the X button because the fact of grab objects with the attack button (and the screen get filled with items, trust me) was a terrible idea (That was really a C-C-C-Combo Breaker!!).

With these improvements maybe I play again a bit, I’ve completed the game but always is fun to help other people and maybe now get higher grades than C or B (LOL).

I also would like the idea of an expansion (DLC) or at least a increase in the level cap.

Ugh, so you’re still expected to pay REAL MONEY for Resurrection Stones with no way to get them in-game? Disgusting.

I wouldn’t mind if you could get them in-game but otherwise it’s a free to play model in a paid game (Res Stones are also a form of currency), which stinks to high heaven.

  I also don’t like very much that decision.
  
  I know how you feel, I also spent my first stones very quickly before I discovered that I had to buy more but if you play well and buy many potions you will not have much trouble in the first difficulties (Although I must admit that I found most challenging in that way and liked me XD).
  
  Where I had to buy Ress stones was for my first time in the Floating Gardens but after several games I discovered that it is possible to finish the game and get all the achievements without using them (so I only lost 40 MSP).
