Did You Say…Jet Force Gemini Minecraft Skins?!

The team at Rare Studios just announced their very own Minecraft themed skins featured as part of the line-up in the upcoming Skinpacks 2 for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition! I can’t really say it any better than the Rare folks did via the official Rare Twitter!

“Smell it! The fragrance of interstellar justice. Skin Pack 2 leads the Jet Force Gemini team to Minecraft for Xbox 360!”

Today’s new reveal of themed skin packs for ‘Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition’ features Juno, Vela, and Lupus from the Jet Force Gemini Team! Just like the first pack of themed skins the total number of new content will be 45 and at the low, low, price of 160 MSP! Stay tuned for another reveal and preview of the skins included in the next pack posting soon! Post your favorite new skin in this reveal in the comments below OR in the Minecraft thread in our forums!

  It’ll also include all 8 of the Left 4 Dead survivors and be out this month. Seems like a much better selection than the first pack.

Proof 4J Studios will be doing an XBLA port of JFG?! Jet Force Gemini was one of my favorite N64 games, PLEASE bring it to Xbox!

  You can’t call that proof…. They had skins in SP1 from Halo, GoW and THPSHD and a lot more… Are they doing stuff for them games too? SP2 has L4D/2 skins, and there’s nothing connecting the 2

    I was being hopeful, jeez. See that question mark? It means I question it being proof. And the exclamation point? I was excited at the possibility. I more saw this as proof Rareware hasn’t completely forgotten their old properties, especially my beloved JFG.
    And 4J Studios most definitely is connected to JFG, because they ported Banjo Kazooie/Tooie and Perfect Dark to XBLA. So obviously they would be the likely choice if Rareware decided to give anyone the go ahead on porting another one of their N64 gems. They obviously wouldn’t need to be involved in those other franchises either, because they are being actively worked on by other developers.

    actually there is, microsoft has to own rights to use any character depicted in these skin packs,. that means they need rights to the games inorder for those skins to be in minecraft, doesnt mean games will arrive, but does mean microsoft owns the rights to be able to consider it.

No, I said “could Rare please step away from the Kinect and make a videogame” but this is nice too.

And yes this could be a nod to a potential Jet Force Gemini port. Otherwise these are just skins from an N64 game, which makes no sense.
