Don’t push too far forward

“RAAAR! ATTACK! ATTACK! Oh, I got hit from behind…” Don’t let this be your first mistake!

In this game, it takes a few moments for your character to turn around. This is especially true if you’re attacking.

People do tend to push forward while attacking, even though they don’t need to.

If you already have the enemy within range, and especially if you have the target surrounded by enemies or terrain, sometimes it’s best to attack while standing still. If you push too far forward, it may make it easier for you to walk right past your target, allowing him to hit you from behind.

Warriors: Use the Guard-Attack!

Warriors can attack while using their shield to block. This locks the direction they are facing. When you’re fighting an opponent, try backing up to your allies’ location while guard-attacking. It will definitely and drastically lower your death count!

What’s the Top View?

You can use the right stick UP/DOWN to change viewpoints.

I recommend using a wider, far-away view when out in the open, going close-up while in a castle, and using the Top View when in melee range.

Switch cameras quickly and flexibly to better respond to the threat at hand!

Get rid of the pesky Mages and Clerics first!

“I’m gonna just attack whatever is closest to me! Ow, ow, the spells, it burns, and the enemy is healing, oh no…”

Mages provide massive ranged damage, while clerics provide support. Try to find and kill overextended Mages and Clerics first.

Of course, smart Mages and Clerics will stay safely away from the front lines, but they are hard to kill. Let’s let the veteran players take care of them. Beginners can help set up for more team tactics just by holding the line and punishing enemies that make mistakes.

Watch the AP bar!

In this game, you can stand completely still and not do anything for a few seconds to rapidly recover your HP and AP.

If you’re in trouble, it might be wise to just back up and find someplace safe to stand still in.

Don’t forget the Singleplayer!
