Ballistas, Cannons, Ladders, and More In Happy Wars!

There’s nothing more satisfying than blowing the enemy up into smithereens, but don’t forget that there are items on the map that can help you destroy them even faster! In Happy Wars, it’s all about working together, performing team skills, and taking down the towers, but it’s a whole lot more fun when you can hop on a cannon and crush your foes! BALLISTAS and CANNONS

These are spread throughout the map, located in different areas. Pressing the action button within a certain distance from the ballista materials enables a Cleric to build one as well! Note that there are 3 states to building a ballista: pre-construction, under construction, and the completed item, so make sure you have help when building or are protected by your team! By holding the Left Trigger within the vicinity of the ballista, you are able to mount the cannon and use your Right Trigger to fire away! Pressing X reloads and while mounted, you can view your targets by using the Right Thumbstick. As devastating as the ballista can be, keep in mind that it can just as easily be destroyed with any method of attack and even if you’re mounted on the cannon, you can die from the damage! 

LADDERS

A Cleric can help build a ladder against the enemy’s castle, aiding you and your team as you attempt to enter their castle! Ladders are essential, especially if the castle gate is heavily guarded. Keep your Clerics close by!

CASTLE GATES

Castle gates are closed at the start of each battle but will open to your team when you are within a certain distance. These gates can be damaged with any method and cannot be repaired, so guard them carefully! When enemies are within range your castle, your gates will lock and prevent the enemy from gaining access to your castle and tower.

SUSPENSION BRIDGES

These bridges are already in place throughout the level and can be used to pass between cliffs and other areas on the map. They do have their own HP and can if you attack the signboard on either side of the bridge, the HP will decrease and eventually collapse the more it is attacked. However, the bridge will eventually recover and go back into it’s original state. Watch your step!

EXPLODING BOULDERS

Throughout your battles, you may have noticed lumps of exploding boulders placed in various locations across the maps. When you are within a certain distance, you can press the Left Trigger and cause the stack to roll out onto the field and (hopefully!) into the enemy! They cannot be destroyed and will reappear within a certain time to be used again.

ANTLIONS

These are placed on desert levels and if you are too close to one, you may be sucked toward the center, which will cause instant death! Be careful as they cannot be destroyed!
