Ascend on Xbox 360 will close November 18, 2014

Effective November 18, 2014, Ascend on Xbox 360 will close and all Soul purchases have been disabled as part of the Marketplace shutdown.  Players will still be able to play Ascend on Xbox 360 and use any content they have already acquired until the game closure date.  This only applies to Ascend on Xbox 360 – Ascend will continue to be available on the Steam gaming platform. Thank you for your support and we hope to welcome you into our other gaming communities.

Is there any reason as to why this is happening? Migrating to X1, or just not enough players to justify it staying open?

The devs broke the game. It wouldnt work for a lot of people.

Retaliation for Toy Soldiers 3 being on PS4.

Nah I’m just kidding I would think, and hope, the business isn’t that petty.

Thanks for letting us know at least. Any chance for free goodies to help players beat the game in time?

Shame really, loved this game on the 360. Been playing the PC steam version since last night though. Leaps and bounds better than the 360 version. Signal made huge changes to the PC version that all well beyond that of the console version making it so much better to play.

I tried to play 2 nights ago and it couldn’t download a needed update to the game. Has that been fixed?

Same problem even after deleting an redownloading.

Yeah I tried loading it up again and I can’t get the update I need. Oh well.

Thank god I didn’t started it.

That’s a shame. Did it not make enough money? It seems to be happening to these F2P games now except Happy Wars. How are World of Tanks and Warface doing?

Karaoke’s gone, Crash Course 2′s going. When does that one shut down again?

I really don’t see the need to shut off servers though. Disable purchases sure but they’re on Xbox Live servers, there’s no reason not to leave something playable online.
