  • Zereta

A bunch of good stuff here! Kinda psyched

  • Brian Holmgren

I hope that Forty Thieves will be added to Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

  • Jerman

I hope I can install them on windows 7. I want a PC not a tablet.

    • Mage Ronin

      Windows 8 is a PC -_-

      • Windows 8 Hater

yes but Windows 8 is horrible on a desktop… if you think otherwise you’ve either not used it or are deluded

        • Emi Cyberschreiber

I have used it and it works perfectly fine in my desktop.
if YOU dont know how to use it,maybe you should stick to windows 7. i mean the only significant change its the new start screen and its way better than old start menu filled with folders and folders if your program wasnt in MFU list.

and yeah, im using windows 8 music app, and playing Aion in my desktop. and it works perfectly fine.
again if you dont know how to use it with a keyboard and mouse which works the same, maybe you should play chess and forget about computers.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=654640987 Kyle Reese

I’m using it and i like the Xbox addition but I would love to turn metro off xD …. I’ll still upgrade as soon as it comes out because I find the overall performance better than it was with Win 7 on my desktop.

          • Emi Cyberschreiber

I still dont get why you or anyone would want to turn it off. i know you might not like the colored tiles and all or well the big change., but it works the same or better than the old start menu.
i wish i could show everyone who says it doesn’t work with mouse and keyboard, and other excuses, how it really works.
everytime i have to use a win7 pc i cannot see how old start menu its better than new, or why is so needed the start button, or again, why turning off the windows 8 UI, specially since future of Windows, the way of developing apps and games, and someday WinRT will replace Win32, im sure of that. not son but someday.

        • blakfyr999

Haven’t used it…so I’m deluded?….Okay, sure keep thinking that, man

    • Jeremy

Windows 8 has the Metro (Microsoft renamed it) interface for tablets but still has the desktop of Windows 7 with a few modifications. I love the preview editions and am buying Windows 8 day 1 for my desktop and laptop computers!

Shhhh! Microsoft isn’t allowed to use the term “Metro” any more… (glances around nervously)

  • html6game

    Nice!i like this xbox game.

  • Anonymous

It’s going to be tough for Sony to keep up. i hope that the Microsoft pricing policy won’t take advantage of this so that we, the customers, have to pay more for the titles. I’d rather hope for a (huge) lowering of prices for online content in the near future. ;-) Now it’s a lot chraper for me to buy titlres on DVD’s than online, and that isn’t how it’s supposed to be, is it? A new title cost around 150USD here in Norway, but I can get discount titles for as low as 7-8USD, and the same tutles costs from 1800 to 3600 ( ! ) points on XBLive! And 1800 points, cost me 39,36USD in the stores! Way too much!

they are for win that is all there is.

So does this mean that the Halo games will be coming to PC? The Halo series was one of my favorite video game series of all time but I wish that 3, Reach, and eventually 4 would be available to PC.

    Halo anyone?

    • xdlugia

We already have Halo 2 for PC, and that is enough for me. (yes, it has Xbox LIVE achievements)

        • xdlugia

          You didn’t get that?
We already have a great multiplayer Halo game for PC with achievement support. What more could you want? DLC?

I should have specified, i own the first one on PC, but i’d probably pay $60 for both on PC!

  • http://www.facebook.com/apocalypticgames Anthony Alampi

They’re gonna start by releasing these games as a test to see if the idea pans out. If it does, expect Halo 3 for Windows 8 in 2013.

  • Carson

these games suck.. im sorry but its true these are old people and little kid games why dont you get some real games such as : skyrim, call of duty, halo, gears of war, civilization revolution, castle crashers, final fantasy, tomb raider, fable, duke nukem :/…. , GTA, left 4 dead, dead island …. i mean come on! really !! who the hell plays mahjong!!!!!

    • Lucien Greathouse

Most of those games are already on PC, or have better versions on the PC.

I can bet that these are the ONLY games you know.

But yep, these titles are for casuals. MIcrosoft Studios, get your self together, come on.

  • http://www.facebook.com/FlipyHunter Marko Cvetkovic

Here’s an idea! Why don’t you emulate ALL xbox games on win8 and than make a new console and put win8 on it… it’s a win-win if you x me…

  • Harshil Shah

Does that mean…cross-platform buying? (Buy a game for your Xbox, don’t buy a separate one for your PC)

    • Oliver Mills

I’d like to know this too, but I doubt it’s the case I’m afraid

  • http://www.facebook.com/parthjs.thegame Parth Joshi

    How about xbox 360 ?

  • danny

    we need gears & halo…whats wrong with microsoft ? : /

  • http://www.facebook.com/tallsmith Paul Smith

It looks like original XBOX titles, and no XBOX 360. If a PC is more powerful than a console, just kick out. We’re going to pay for it anyways. FPS with a controller just doesn’t cut it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/junu.huq Junu Huq

jeeesus christ ! get hardcore games ! was excited over the news but after seeing the list…….no comments..il stick to windows 7 for good.

  • aleks

So, halo? Where is it? To be honest, in my opinion, all i ever wanted was halo, never heard of the other games, and we had alot of them.

  • anon

Come on, microsoft owns xbox, why not just give windows 8 the ability to read and play ANY xbox game?

    • http://www.facebook.com/sonarctica89 Anders Salvesen

Agree, i dont care about stupid arcade’s i want to play the really good xbox games like red dead redemption, GOW series and such!

We want Halo series for PC……..

  • Hamza

I want Halo 3 and Halo Reach :(

  • Floridam

  • http://www.facebook.com/thom.newton Thom Newton

Why can’t they just certify windows 8 XBLA compatible and allow anything you’ve bought for XBLA play on windows 8? Especially if you could use an xbox controller on a surface you would essentially have a mobile XBLA gaming system. Because I already own a bunch of these on xbox or windows phone it’d be a kick in the teeth to have to pay a third time.

  • eagle

We want halo. THe latest part. Why you dont release them on PC too? They started from the PC but now they only have a xbox version.
    why microsoft whyy???????????

bring every game to windows 8! all the fighters the whole nine yards. dont be selective microsoft. we want to complete our halo collection. and the gears of war series. make sure tekken makes it to pc. and more. we got our gaming rigs. we are ready!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=694076386 John Matthews

Uh guys and gals, Halo and Gears won’t run on Windows RT. Bear in mind these are going to be mobile games similar to iPAD titles. Also these titles will be launching on the OS through the (formerly called metro) store which will be available in Windows RT and Arm. Anything purchased through the store in metro should be able to work on x86 or ARM devices.
Games for Windows Live is continuing for x86 desktop applications like Age of Empires Online, etc.

it seems they can run unreal engine 3 on winRT, so it is just a matter of conversion, I guess, untill we could have cool games or xbox 360 games.
